Went to Oxford yesterday to see Jeff Koons exhibition at the Ashmolean museum. Pretty nice exhibition. Although personally I don’t really care for Koons, it’s great to see the conceptual artworks in person. The scale and the details are impressive when you get to observe with your own eyes. His way of mixing high brow and low brow art is not really my thing but I appreciate how the descriptions match the artwork. They are not vague or complicated.
I found myself more intrigued by the material he uses for his sculptures than the sculpture itself and captured a few textural photos.

Maybe it’s just my instinct to crop images and making compositions intuitively.
I also found various weapons in the Pitts River Museum weird looking but useful for designing weapons in a sci-fi graphic novel. Something primitive but sets in the future.
