An update.
Encountering problems everyday but also solutions as well. From the last post, I’ve made a really rough prototype of how the fan/air pump would fit in with the plinth. It turned out okay but the problem was that the fan were too soft.
I tried laying out the comic strips over it but it provided a very weak effect, almost unnoticeable.
I did try to add a plastic bag over it which I sealed it with iron and taped it on to the cardboard box but the bag itself barely move so we have to move on to the big guns.

Then came the air pump. A pump I bought off Amazon. I went to the Lab and Elle helped me tinker it making it connects to the previous Arduino set up. It worked fine with air blowing out strongly and softly at an adjusted pace.

Everything seemed fine BUT there’s a really huge problem: IT’S LOUD AF. It’s not just a motor voice but almost as loud as a hairdryer. This can not do. My work needs to be much more quiet than this and it can really disturb the whole environment.
I went to the 3D workshop to ask whether I could soundproof the plinth but the technician said I could try but it won’t make much of a difference since I’ll have to cut a hole to blow the air out. Either I’ll have to find a super silent fan or figure another way because I really can’t have my work be this loud.
I’ll need to talk to James.
In the other part, I’ve been warming up for my long strip of comics by just starting the strip with some nonsense. It’s really satisfying to draw on a continuous roll of paper which made me draw longer than the previous time I had to connect the strips myself. I displayed it in our classroom to see how far I’ve drawn with one audience of Finn.

Better work on these comics while being a bit useless on the other parts.
More soon.
