Coming together nicely.
After trying to work with the cam and follower mechanism, it’s finally time to connect the piece with a motor. Enter the creative technology lab where Edmund and Elle was bothered by me again. Funny enough, Elle decided to throw in a crash course about some transmitter thingy for Ed because he couldn’t find a way to control the speed of my motor. Elle wrote some weird things on the board and my mind left the building.
It accidentally became an opportunity for Ed to learn about somethings only Elle could do in the lab so that’s good I guess.
More wiring happening as usual. More codes.
I cut a foam piece so the motor can sit at the exact height of the cam. When it is roughly put together it turns out like this:
And then I cut a ball of foam and put it on top of the follower along with a mock up of my comics strips:
IT’S ALIVE! The next step is to lasercut everything in the final size that would fit with plinth and finish all of my comics. James suggested that it could fall down on the floor as well so it has to be pretty long.
So happy to get things working and I’m getting closer now.
More soon.
